You can feel the budget of the game, they cut out and stopped building the game to be efficient with money vs. ![]() ME2 leans more into this Renegade Spacer vibe but never quite locks it in the same way. You get told little details all over like who is taking over now that you're off ship, or talking to the council after every major story beat, in which you can hang up abruptly like the loose cannon captain you are. Everything in ME1 exists to give you the ultimate Space Opera experience straight out of the 50s or the 90s depending on where your favorite show lies.
